The whole nation was abuzz last week with royal fever. Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, spent three days touring Canada, with specific stops in New Brunswick, Toronto, and Regina. Their schedules were jam packed with appearances, but HRH Prince Charles managed to squeeze in time to meet one of Dundurn’s very own authors.

Nathan Tidridge received a Diamond Jubilee medal for distinguished service to the Crown in Canada on Tuesday, May 22 at Queen’s Park in Toronto. HRH Prince Charles presented Nathan with his medal, and five other recipients for their exceptional work in their fields.

Nathan’s book, Canada’s Constitutional Monarchy, outlines the history of the Crown in Canada and, in Nathan’s own words, could be the basis text should the history of the Crown and its place in Canadian government and heritage ever be put back into school curriculum. Nathan is pictured above showing a copy of his book to HRH Prince Charles of Wales.

Congratulations to Nathan on this incredible honour!

We’ll be following the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebration all week long on our blog and Facebook. Be sure to tune in.
