Michael Januska, author of Grey Cup Century, rounds up his blog posts this week with this last one before the 100th Grey Cup Game. Who are you going to be cheering for?

Michael’s Post:

The fabled Toronto Argonauts are one of the oldest sports franchises on the continent. The Boatmen won their first Grey Cup in 1914, and their most recent in 2004—a record total 15 victories.  Over the decades they have featured such star players as Lionel Conacher—voted Canada’s Top Athlete of the first half century, and modern-day legends like Joe Barnes, Raghib “Rocket Ismail,” Doug Flutie, Damon Allen, and Michael “Pinball” Clemons.  After a rocky regular season in 2012, the Argos went on to take the Eastern Division, defeating the heavily-favoured Montreal Alouettes 27-20. Toronto is of course hosting the 100th Grey Cup this year, so the pressure is on the home team to take the silver chalice. They have a battle ahead with the Calgary Stampeders who finished six points ahead of the Double Blue. It has all the makings of a thrilling game.
